Short Avenue Elementary Food Truck Fiesta and Winter Jazz January 20, 2016

Short Avenue Elementary in Marina Del Rey will be hosting another a free winter jazz concert on the lawn featuring members of the Del Rey Community Jazz Band at the upcoming food truck fiesta community event on Wednesday January 20, 2016. The Food Truck Fiesta features some of Los Angeles’ finest food trucks each month to help raise funds for the various activities of the Friends of Short Avenue non-profit group.

We’re a month into  winter so it’s recommended you bring jackets, as well as flashlights and lanterns. Joining us to serve warm, tasty and eclectic street food will be the following gourmet food trucks: Mapcuhe Native, Street Kitchen and Sweet E’s BakeShop.  There will be a variety of unique and delicious food to choose from including: empanadas, lomito and milanesa sandwiches, tacos, kobe beef sliders and grilled cheese sandwiches. Save room for dessert- cupcakes, cookies, brownies and more!

Find the trucks out by the front lawn, be sure to bring your blankets and lawn chairs to dine al fresco with your best classmates, neighbors and community. All are welcome to attend, eat and have a blast and even if you can’t stick around then take your meal to go, a portion of the food truck sales benefit a great cause! This event is free for all to attend!
