Camarillo Public Library in Camarillo will be hosting the 7th annual Chinese New Year Celebration on Saturday February 13, 2016. This event is free for all and will take place outside of the library. This annual event is Ventura County’s largest Chinese New Year gathering. Back by popular demand will be some of Los Angeles and Ventura County’s finest gourmet Asian themed and kid friendly food trucks who will be serving their delicious, ethnic, sweet and american street food for this special occasion.
Steamy Bun Truck, Belly Bombz, The Greasy Wiener and Kona Ice will be serving by the staff parking lot closest to the performance stage from 12pm-4pm. Come out and celebrate the “Year of the Monkey”, there will be live entertainment including: Chinese Lion Dancing, Chinese Folk Dances, Chinese Acrobats, Chinese Ensemble Music, Crafts and demonstrations and much more!
You’re encouraged to bring your lawn chair (and picnic blankets, we’re expected to have great weather in the high 70’s!) sit back and enjoy the program and some great food! This is a great event for the entire family! The Chinese New Year event is co-sponsored by the Ventura County Chinese American Association.
