Short Avenue Elementary in Marina Del Rey will be kicking off a new school year at their monthly food truck fundraising event on Wednesday August 19, 2015. The Food Truck Fiesta features some of Los Angeles’ finest food trucks each month to help raise funds for the various activities of the Friends of Short Avenue non-profit group.

As we approach another heat wave, it’s the perfect time to keep those appliances cool and head on over for a family dinner! Joining us to serve tasty and eclectic street food will be the following gourmet food trucks: The Greasy Wiener, Swami’s Sandwiches, Good Greek Grub and The Pudding Truck. There will be a variety of unique and delicious food to choose from including: hot dogs, specialty fries, sausages, sliders, mac and cheese, sandwiches, gyros, skewers, vegetarian and vegan options as well as handcrafted pudding for dessert!

Find the trucks out by the front lawn, be sure to bring your blankets and lawn chairs to dine al fresco with your best classmates, neighbors and community. All are welcome to attend, eat and have a blast, you’ll feel good about it, too your dollars go to a great cause! This event is free for all to attend!

Join us at Third Thursdays on Pico “Rock the Summer” event on Thursday August 20, 2015 and explore one of Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Great Streets of Los Angeles

Take a stroll along Pico Blvd and visit our unique and independent merchants, enjoy the entertainment where we’ll be featuring 3 local bands performing live, along with art displays, store sales, food and drink tastings and much more!

“WALK THE BOULEVARD” and “MEET ME ON PICO”, come out and meet new friends, neighbors and see what this great community has to offer! This is the perfect event for the entire family!

Don’t forget while you visit our shops to also grab a bite from some of the best food trucks in Los Angeles. This month’s gourmet food trucks include an eclectic and unique menu offerings that you can only find on Pico Blvd including: Lobsta Truck, The Lobos Truck, LA Wing Co., Tomski Sausage and The Pudding Truck!

Lobster rolls, burgers, wings, polish and kielbasa sausages, clam chowder, specialty fries, potato pancakes, sliders, vegetarian and vegan option,  stove top pudding and much more, save room to try out all the different food trucks who will be parked along Pico Blvd between Carmona and Burnside.
