Clover Avenue Elementary Spring Solstice Food Truck Night March 26, 2015

Clover Avenue Elementary School in West Los Angeles will be hosting a Spring Solstice celebration with some of Los Angeles finest food trucks on Thursday March 26, 2015, a perfect way to gather with your friends and family as we welcome in the Spring season and an extra hour of daylight! The school will be hosting an indoor movie night for you and the kids to enjoy so be sure to stick around for the movie after you grab dinner!

Got Food Trucks is pleased to bring you the following food trucks for this event, including monthly resident The Greasy Wiener with this month’s guests serving some of your favorite fusion and ethnic cuisine: Border Grill and Mighty Boba. There will be something for everyone from hot dogs, sausages, popcorn chicken, grilled pork chop, tacos, burritos, quesadillas and boba tea to wash your drink down with! There are plenty of healthy and vegan options for those eating light!

A portion of sales from the food trucks go towards the incoming 5th grade class to attend AstroCamp (a science camp). Find the trucks out by the front lawn, be sure to bring your blankets and lawn chairs to dine al fresco with your best classmates, neighbors and community. All are welcome to attend, eat and have a blast, you’ll feel good about it, too your dollars go towards a great cause!

Chinese New Year at Camarillo Library Feb 21, 2015

Camarillo Public Library in Camarillo will be hosting their annual Chinese New Year event on Saturday February 21, 2015. This event is free for all and will take place outside of the library. The annual event is Ventura County’s largest Chinese New Year gathering. Back by popular demand will be some of Los Angeles and Ventura County’s finest gourmet Asian themed and kid friendly food trucks who will be serving their delicious, ethnic, sweet and american street food for this special occasion.

Steamy Bun TruckLet’s Roll It, The Grilled Cheese Truck and Kona Ice will be serving by the staff parking lot closest to the performance stage from 12pm-4pm. Come out and celebrate the Year of the Ram, there will be live entertainment including: Chinese Lion Dancing,  Chinese Folk Dances, Chinese Acrobats, Chinese Ensemble Music, Crafts and demonstrations and much more!

You’re encouraged to bring your lawn chair (and picnic blankets, we’re expected to have great weather in the 70’s!) sit back and enjoy the program and some great food! This is a great event for the entire family! The Chinese New Year event is co-sponsored by the Ventura County Chinese American Association.
