Short Avenue Food Truck Fiesta February 19, 2014 in Los Angeles

We’re happy to announce that after the great success from Short Avenue Elementary’s School first food truck event in January, that they will now be hosting food trucks every 3rd Wednesday of the month starting this month on February 19, 2014.

Come out for a great community event in Marina Del Rey on Wednesday February 19, 2014 at Short Avenue Elementary School. The Food Truck Fiesta will feature some of Los Angeles’ finest food trucks that will be donating proceeds of their sales to the Friends of Short Avenue Non Profit group.

The Food Truck Fiesta will have a little bit of something for everyone including hot dogs, comfort food, grilled cheese sandwiches and sweets. In conjunction with Got Food Trucks, we are pleased to announce this month’s participating food trucks: The Greasy Wiener, Canvas Foods, Grilled Cheese Truck and Drive Me Cookie.

Find the trucks out by the front lawn, be sure to bring your blankets and lawn chairs to dine al fresco with your best classmates, neighbors and community. All are welcome to attend, eat and have a blast, you’ll feel good about it, too your dollars go to a great cause!

Dress warm as it may be a bit chilly outside!

Food Trucks at Camarillo Library Chinese New Year Event February 8, 2014

Camarillo Public Library in Camarillo will be hosting their annual Chinese New Year event on Saturday February 8, 2014. This event is free for all and will take place outside of the library. The annual event is Ventura County’s largest Chinese New Year gathering. This year the library has invited some of Los Angeles and Ventura County’s finest gourmet Asian themed food trucks who will be serving their delicious, ethnic street food for this special occasion.

Jogasaki Sushi Burrito, Let’s Roll It, My Tornado Potato and Kona Ice will be serving in front of the main entrance of the library from 12pm-4pm. Come out and celebrate the Year of the Horse,  there will be live entertainment including: Chinese Lion Dancing,  Chinese Folk Dances, Chinese Acrobats, Chinese Ensemble Music, Crafts and demonstrations and much more!

You’re encouraged to bring your lawn chair (probably a jacket and blanket, too) sit back and enjoy the program! This is a great event for the entire family! The Chinese New Year event is co-sponsored by the Ventura County Chinese American Association and Chinese Language School.
