Short Avenue Elementary Free Jazz Concert & Food Truck Night November 18, 2015

Short Avenue Elementary in Marina Del Rey will be hosting another free concert on the lawn featuring members of the Del Rey Community Jazz Band at the upcoming food truck fiesta community event on Wednesday November 18, 2015. The Food Truck Fiesta features some of Los Angeles’ finest food trucks each month to help raise funds for the various activities of the Friends of Short Avenue non-profit group.

As the temperature drops and we’ve reached the end of Daylight Savings Time, it’s recommended you bring jackets, as well as flashlights and lanterns. Joining us to serve warm, tasty and eclectic street food will be the following gourmet food trucks:  The Lobos Truck and Las Tres Ranas and  dessert from Sweet Arleens.  There will be a variety of unique and delicious food to choose from including: burgers, mac and cheese, wings, specialty fries, tacos, burritos, quesadillas with vegan and vegetarian options, as well as cupcakes!

Find the trucks out by the front lawn, be sure to bring your blankets and lawn chairs to dine al fresco with your best classmates, neighbors and community. All are welcome to attend, eat and have a blast and even if you can’t stick around then take your meal to go,a portion of the food truck sales benefit a great cause! This event is free for all to attend!

Clover Avenue Elementary Food Truck & Movie Night October 22, 2015

Clover Avenue Elementary in West Los Angeles will be hosting another fun community gathering featuring some of Los Angeles best food trucks on Thursday October 22, 2015. Take advantage of the warm weather and enjoy a relaxed atmosphere with family and friends in a picnic style setting. This month will also kick off the return of the indoor themed movie hosted by Clover’s parent Booster, come for dinner and stay for the movie!

Got Food Trucks is pleased to bring you the following food trucks for this event, including monthly resident The Greasy Wiener with guests serving some of the best street food including : American, New American and Desserts : The Hurricane Kitchen and Sweet E’s Bakeshop. There will be something for everyone from hot dogs, sausages, sliders, bbq salmon, pulled pork, duck confit, specialty french fries, and don’t forget kosher dessert– cupcakes, stuffed cookies, brownies and fresh squeezed lemonade! There will also be vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options for those with dietary restrictions.

A portion of sales from the food trucks go towards the incoming 5th grade class to attend AstroCamp (a science camp). Find the trucks out by the front lawn, be sure to bring your blankets and lawn chairs to dine al fresco with your best classmates, neighbors and community. All are welcome to attend, eat and have a blast, you’ll feel good about it, too your dollars go towards a great cause!
