The Food Trucker and LA Valley Food Trucks are hosting some of your favorite Los Angeles food trucks this weekend at the LA Watts Summer Games, an annual event organized by the Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce. The LA Watts Summer Games will take place at Cal State University Dominguez Hills in Carson, along with many other local high schools across Los Angeles County. Food Trucks will be serving the hungry athletes, volunteers, staff and parents at the Cal State University Dominguez location by parking Lot 4/4A near the baseball & softball fields.
Some of the trucks for this weekend include: No Jodas Kitchen, Crepenaround, Nu Nu Orleans, GodFather Truck, Let’s Roll It Truck, Macolicious Truck, Mambo Juice, Tropical Shave Ice, Frozen Crush and PerkUp Mobile.
The mission of the LA Watts Summer Games is to build bridges of understanding among high school youth by promoting positive interaction, respect and achievement through spirited competition. Sponsored generously by The First Tee of Los Angeles | Northern Trust Open, the LA Watts Summer Games is the nation’s largest high school athletic competition. The Games brings together more than 4,000 student athletes annually from Los Angeles and throughout Southern California; and challenges the next generation to act as catalysts for driving positive change within their respective communities. Modeled after the Summer Olympics, this signature event offers competition platforms for volleyball, soccer, basketball, lacrosse, softball, football, golf and much more. The Games also provides valuable resources and opportunities to Watts and its neighboring communities with resource exhibits, workshops and clinics and healthy eating/fitness initiatives.
Portions of the food trucks proceeds will go towards the non profit organization and our partners, Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce and the CSUDH Athletics Dept.
